The workshops are for children aged 8-14. Each child will use their own imagination and skill level to create their story. They will learn to enhance their writing and gain basic scriptwriting skills. The workshops are fun, engaging, and educational for this age group.
I offer three interactive workshops, but more will be released in the future.
Scriptwriting Workshop: Learn how to create characters, build storylines, and write engaging scripts.
Radio Play Creation: Bring scripts to life with sound effects, voice acting, and audio editing.
Comic Creation Workshop: Transform written scripts into exciting comic strips focusing on art and storytelling.
Each workshop costs between $30 and $40. You can enroll in one or all workshops depending on your child's interests and scriptwriting level.
Each workshop is self-paced and can be completed over two weeks. There is no deadline for completing the workshops, so participants can start and finish at their own pace and receive a certificate of completion. However, they may want to attend live group sessions that also take place during the workshop. On average, children spend around 2 hours per session, depending on the workshop.
The workshops are pre-recorded and self-paced, allowing your child to learn independently and review any lessons they find challenging or particularly interesting. A new course will be released twice a week, giving your child enough time to complete it. If your child needs help, they are welcome to attend my live group call to ask questions and get more assistance or leave a message in the discussion area.
You only need a computer, tablet, or smartphone for the Scriptwriting and Script to Sound workshops. For the Comic Creation Workshop, basic drawing supplies like pencils, colored pens, and paper will be helpful. Optional: a printer for templates, a microphone, and the free Audacity editing software.
These workshops are designed to be independent and easy to follow. However, younger participants may need occasional guidance, especially when setting up software or working with audio in the Radio Play workshop.
After purchase, you'll receive an email with login instructions for accessing the course materials. After being released, each lesson is available to view.
Yes, siblings are welcome to share the course materials. However, if each child would like to submit work to the group or for feedback, we recommend enrolling each child separately.
Creative expression: Children learn to express their ideas through storytelling, art, and sound.
Skill-building: They develop new skills in writing, storytelling, drawing, and audio editing.
Confidence: Through each completed project, children gain confidence in their abilities.
Flexibility: Kids can work at their own pace and schedule.
Currently, the workshops are self-paced. Weekly live group sessions are available for Q&A or feedback. Children can also participate in optional group discussions on Padlet and share work.
I am happy to offer three options to accommodate any unforeseen circumstances: a refund, flexible rescheduling, or credit for future workshops. Kindly familiarize yourself with my refund policy to ensure you understand the process. My ultimate goal is for your child to have a positive experience, and I am committed to working with you to provide this outcome.
